Hosted by Lighthouse Organizational Development and Global Insights Consulting, this webinar provides a overview to an e-learning module that provides an introduction to the NBI framework.
“As a leadership coach, the NBI is one of my go-to tools. It gives clients an objective way to understand how they come across to others, and how they might adapt their behaviors to be more effective. It’s fast to implement, so I don’t need to spend too much time explaining or teaching, but rather I can focus on what I do best — helping leaders become the best version of themselves.”
We and our clients absolutely love the NBI tool. In our workshop evaluations participants very often name the NBI tool and getting to know their own and their peers’ thinking preferences as something they most enjoyed during their training. We like to use the NBI with our clients as the framework and underlying theory is very easy to understand for participants, which allows them to transfer learning directly and immediately to work applications. In addition, from a consultant’s perspective, it is great to work with the NBI, as it can be very well linked to leadership, strategic communication, team development and many other disciplines.
For many executives and leaders, the NBI is the entry point into true self-awareness.
I’ve worked with thousands of people and used many popular tools to try to generate self and other awareness in clients. None have been as well received and effective as the NBI. One client hired me to develop cohorts of high-potential leaders. With each cohort, one of the most exciting moments in the process was when leaders became aware of the opportunities and limitations of their preferences and how to leverage these preferences in themselves and in others. The excitement from this insight has repeated itself over and again with hundreds of clients ranging from large multinational organizations and non-profits to school systems. NBI certification has been a valuable tool in my toolkit.
“I have recently completed the NBI™ certification program and would recommend it 100%. The NBI is a powerful tool with direct application to the areas of leadership, communication, diversity, team effectiveness, and coaching to name a few. Krister Lowe and Tony Hacking, who have integrated this assessment instrument into their own global consulting practice, share their experience in a very easy going engaging manner by intertwining a mix of client-based case studies, and examples of exercises in which to effectively use the tool. It is a very “hands-on” workshop, and at the conclusion not only do you leave feeling confident in how to present and apply the instrument, but you have also met fellow practitioners with whom you can network and build an ongoing community.”
